Equine solariums have become essential equipment in many stables, not only for drying horses after strenuous training but also for their therapeutic benefits. BM Horse solariums accelerate the breakdown of lactic acid in muscles and warm them, enhancing blood circulation throughout the horse’s body. This results in faster muscle relaxation and a quicker return to optimal muscle tone. These benefits lead to faster recovery of the musculoskeletal system post-training and a reduction in pain, particularly in the hindquarters, back, withers, neck, and poll. Fun fact: BM Horse solariums are also beneficial for humans, as light therapy has proven benefits similar to those in horses!
The red lamps used in SOLAR TECH stimulate circulation, improve horses’ well-being, reduce stress and tension and work with the fans to aid in drying.
With SOLAR TECH, you can choose a manual control panel or a touch version (also available with coin/token inserts). Selecting the control panels is mandatory if you opt for the solarium with electric actuators for lowering – without the panel, they cannot be operated. The control panels also regulate the solarium’s operating time, with built-in timers that automatically shut off the solarium after the set time. Without these, you must manually disconnect the equipment from the power source each time.
BM Horse stable products are tested for at least six months at the BM Horse equestrian center in Tągowie before entering the market. For over 10 years, we have exclusively used our own products, which allowed us to make continuous improvements and ensure the highest quality standards for you.
How to Use BM Horse Solariums Correctly?
SUMMER: During summer, the solarium is used less frequently but is excellent for drying horses after training in bad weather. We also recommend using light therapy after training on cooler summer days or as part of physiotherapy, if your horses experience muscle pain or tension.
COOLER MONTHS: We encourage using the solarium before training sessions to properly warm up the muscles and aid in warm-up routines. This preventive action significantly reduces the risk of injuries.
After training, use the solarium to dry and regenerate the muscles. Once the horse is dry, you can safely blanket the horse and return it to the stall or paddock.
Additional Equipment:
- Electronic control panel (also available with coin/token acceptors)
- Height adjustment via telescopic electric actuators* (300mm for low ceilings, 600mm for high ceilings)
- Floor-mounted frame for solarium suspension
*Installation of solariums without actuators is possible, but without them, height adjustment relative to the horse is not possible.
